Putting a cigarette filter in your stem for double filtration..

I just did it with a chamber full of ice and water, and I must say.. I could still taste it, but I ripped probably a .8 gram (about the amount you would put in a normal sized joint) bowl, completely milked the chamber, cleared it.. and felt absolutly NO harsh feeling in my lungs and throat... but I STILL got mashed off of just one hit (and it usually takes me 1 or two BIG rips to feel high)


I was wanting to know if anyone has ever tried this or if I should patent this method haha jk but yeah let me know

i was always told a cig filter traps the thc... maybe you shouldnt do that

the filter is made to trap the heavier compounds in smoke.. usually the tar.

THC is similar to nicotine in that it is very light and can pass through filters easily..

Actually is a common misconception that filters stop THC, they do not.

yeah it does trap the resin, but when you think about it, most of the resin in the stem of your pipe doesn't effect the strength of your hit, because it isn't getting hot.. i'm talking the bottom of your stem, so your bowl still gets caked with resin.

i was just doing it because i'm sick and don't want to be inhaling a lot of shit into my lungs so i had to figure something out, but it makes for an extremely mellow, yet potent hit.

my steam roller is about an inch in diameter...I filter the smoke by placing a bud in the stem of the pipe,this improves taste while making the smoke smoother,and the bud in the stem gets coated w/the resin and makes a great smoke later.

There's a new product out there called Happy Chief.
It's basically a filter for your bowl.
You can find it online if your local headshop doesn't have it yet.

so i can take a cigarette filter and roll and joint with it? it wont trap no thc or nothing? im going to do that so the smoke will be smoother.

yup.. some people think otherwise... but if you do some research... it really only traps a very very small (like .07%) of the THC... which isn't much in my book..
