How the FUCK can people actually give in to this bullshit? Its mostly rap now a day. I see no difference at all between Hurricane Chris and "A Bay Bay" than Nsync and "Bye Bye Bye". These people get signed by major record labels who tell them what to do, and out of no where they make loads of money. Hurricane Chris barely has a biography, has one CD, and is making a shitload of money off of one liners. Some bands such as Fall Out Boy started out as small bands, but soon got big because of record labels doing the work for them. Incredibly talented bands don't get even close to the recognition as the Top 40 bands. I was watching the live earth performance, and got so angry because of how they played. The most SIMPLE progressions, and little tricks to make it seem difficult. To the general mainstream public, Pete Wentz is a bass god. How the fuck can someone consider him good, when he plays with a pick and doesn't even play fast at all, and picks like he is just smashing all 4 strings. What do people see in cheap music like this? How does it get so popular when even a monkey can see the difference in talent between Fall Out Boy and many obscure metal bands. Even jazz which takes more talent to play than most metal does, is less obscure than bands controlled by their record label.
