What do you prefer with cars

Is that really the way most people in England or the UK refer to cars as 3 door or 5 door? In the U.S. we call them 2 door and 4 door (not including minvans and other exceptions) because that is the main difference and not whether or not they have a trunk.

Example" Hey, I'm thinking about getting a 2 door Explorer instead of the 4 door model because it looks more sporty.

We count the boot as a door over here.

i like 5 door cars i hate to fold up seats to let people in the back of the car.

id have to say 4 doors and a trunk thats what ive always been used to

I voted 5 because of the convenience, but i'd take an impractical caterham 7 anyday.

But i drive a 2 door van. 4 door if you count the ones at the back, and 5 if you count the side door on the transit.

The Caterham is just *basic* transportation, They have no cup holders, they don't even have a radio. They just run like a scalded cat, handle like they were on rails, and get 30+mpg

The trunk is only counted as a door when it is a hatchback. We still have 3 door and 5 door cars over here. Like the ford focus. You can get a 3 door, 4 door, or 5 door. The 3 and 5 door have a hatchback style trunk, while the 4 door has a normal sedan style trunk.
