Almost caught blazing!

Ok so last night I had a pretty good blazing session going on in my room (the room where my desk and computer are, not my bedroom). I was feeling really good 'cause I figured out a way to blaze at home without even being suspected.

I open the window and I have a little desk fan I aim right out the window. Then, whenever I exhale I just blew through the screen in the window and the fan helps keep the smoke out. I also keep a scented candle for when I'm done. After I'm nice and baked I light the candle for probably 30-60 minutes. It's a candle we burn in the house frequently so it works much better than incense.

Anyway, after I got baked and put my weed n shit away, I was sitting at my desk working on some fiction that is nearing completion. I notice outside that there is a good thunderstorm developing. I blow out the candle, letting the smoke get carried away by the fan, and then place the candle on the windowsill in front of the open window.

By now, there's some pretty heavy thunder and lightening. As I'm writing I happen to hear a light knock in the door. It's my WIFE!!!! I'm still pretty stoned. She comes in to unplug her laptop 'cause the thunder woke her up.

Now before you jump down my throat about hiding my toking from my wife, I'll say in my own defense I'm still a very new smoker (only a few months). I'm going to tell her eventually when the time is right.

I'm not sure how she'll react to me smoking weed. She's pretty liberal in a lot of her views, and conservative in some others. But I want to tell her on my own terms, not having her walking in on me taking a big hit from my pipe.

Anyway, she unplugs her computer and right away notices the candle, open window and the fan. She asks whats up. I just say there was a funny smell in the room (kinda the truth). She's still half-asleep, so she probably doesn't notice me being stoned off my ass. I'm able to hold it together pretty well.

I think I might be in the clear this time. But it certainly gave me a scare. If I had blazed much later, she woulda caught me in the act. By the time I went to bed I was still feeling really good.

I guess I'll just chalk this one up to experience!

Oh yeah, no one in my family knows. Not just my wife. Only a few good friends of mine know I blaze and they only know 'cause I blaze with them sometimes. So its not like everyone in the world knows except her.

were you a dead fan before you started smoking a few months ago?

Yeah I've been a Dead fan for a few years now. She actually likes a lot of their music too. But I also listen to a lot of stuff from th 60s and 70s (always have), so its not something thats totally out of my character.

one time i tryed to blaze in my room like when i started smoking ( 2 weeks ago ).
i blazed but i didnt get high at all because i sucked at it, so i was smoking with the fan and stuff but i left my door open and everything. my parents came home like 2 hours later, and my moms like "it smells like pot in here..." i said i was cookin somethin in the microwave and she goes into the kitchen and just goes, "nah its not in the kitchen its in your room". she didnt say anything else and didnt seem mad for the rest of the night...at all.

is there anything else on this planet that smells like weed?

O man, in my opinion your should tell your wife asap.
Seriously, it will be easier for her to hear it from you, than find it, smell it, or even see you smoking it.
Its not smack, just alittle bit of herb. Remember that when you tell her, and it will go down ok I'm sure.

Yeah yeah I'm going to tell her. No worries there. I'm looking for a job right now (i'm seriously looking too) and once I get a job I'm gonna tell her because I don't want her to think I'm just gonna sit at home smokin' pot every day for the rest of my life. Besides, I wanna work! I need to get out of this fuckin' house!!!
