    safer stoner networking

I think most people don't realize that all you have to do is ask if the person on the other end is a cop and they HAVE to tell you. It's entrapment if they don't.

My brother-in-law is an undercover cop... and to give you an idea of how much they actually care about the typical 5 and dime smoker, he comes over the house all the time and I leave my bowl out. The last time he came over, my bong was sitting right on my computer desk. He doesn't give a shit, and neither does anybody else. He would just as soon light up with me (if he could) as bust me for something.

He has been on UC duty downtown Nashville to bust prostitution. His partner (a female) goes UC as a call girl and they nab people that come up to her on the street. If the people needing a trick ask her if she's a cop before they say anything else (and the smart ones know to do that) she HAS to tell them. They walk away and she waits for the next mark. It's as simple as that. Cops can't take any action with a person that asks them if they are law enforcement first and when they say "yes" they move on...

Honestly, it pisses me off that articles like this even exist. All they do is promote more paranoia among the community and force people to go without herb.

In the end, nobody gives a shit about the guy looking to buy an 1/8th of weed or the guy selling it to them. They are there to get rid of the people that have 10 plants growing in their basement.

Honestly, the people on message forums such as this one that post photos of their grow are in a lot more danger than the dime dealer looking to unload less than an ounce of weed.

The best ones are the one or two-man operations that are doing it part-time for free smoke and maybe a few bucks profit. Chances are, the larger delivery services are being watched and there's always the possibility that something could happen. The only other thing to be concerned about is ripoff artists, so try to find someone that sounds like they have some class, and is an adult.

that's also why someday, when you're in need and you have nowhere else to turn, somebody is going to be like :S4: and you're probably going to get pissed.

It sucks that people are so damn paranoid about selling a dime bag that they shut out other tokers... for every 1 narc that might be using the internet to try and bust a dealer, there are probably 5000 people that legitimately live in the middle of bible country and can't find any herb.

I started a big campaign to find some herb about a year ago... since I live in the middle of west bumble fuck and don't know a single person that will admit they smoke or know how to get it.

I e-mailed one guy that had the same response (or some variation) of that... "Sorry I can't help you, It's too dangerous..."

A few months later, I got an email from the guy. He had run dry and wanted to know if I ever had any luck with my effort to locate a bag.

I took a lot of pleasure in telling him to go fuck himself.

You're never going to change people's minds about it. Those that have it don't really give a crap about those who don't. That is, until they go dry. Then they're all about taking a small risk in order to score a sack for themselves.

It would be nice if we lived in a world where people would risk a citation (yes a citation is all you'll ever receive for possessing less than 3 grams) in order to hook up a fellow toker in need. The unfortunate fact is that we don't live in that world.

If I was under the age of 17 my mother wouldn't like me going to jail because of some stupid video I put on a website. she would argue that these people looking at my profile are molesters or something... i don't think it is anyones(but the parents) business what these kids do after school or put on their recreational website.
I dont agree with the first part of your statement. Aren't you proud of the fact that you smoke? Or are you ashamed of it? People have all kinds of prides that they want everyone to know about, from cultural, to ethical, to sports, rewards, honors ect ect ect. The point is by using your freedom of speech to advocate marijauna (ie posting "Interests: Blazing") I don't think it is fair at all for these people to get in trouble for what they put online.

However, if they are making deals then that is where I have to say they should be on their own. It is still illegal so freedom of speech is fine but setting up deals with people you dont know is risky business and I don't really feel too bad for the people that get caught, its not like its a surprise. Its anticipated.
