Oh noes!1!! I should have known better.

Yeah so anyway, apparently I'm a bit of a fluffhead.
You know that rule about visiting other grows and not bringing home their pests? Yeahhhh....
I visited a grow about a week ago that was infested with mites. I didn't go into the flower rooms of touch any of the plants, but the grower dropped a big branch of trimmed buds in my lap for inspection- it was COATED with webs and mites.
When I got home, I took off all my clothes and left them downstairs- apparently that wasn't enough.
I now have, for the first time in almost 3 years of indoor growing, a spider mite problem.
Y'all excuse me while I go cry.

This morning when I found it I treated with a solution of rotenone, pyrethrins, and neem. I'll let you know how it works out. I will be bug-bombing shortly.

welcome back to my world stinky; i hope yours are not as resilient as mine, my mites would survive a global killer asteroid!

my entire county is infested with mites. there is no winning this one, just a never ending battle.

hey, while i'm thinking about it, do you have any pre-flowering pix of your mtf? i'd love to see them...

sorry to hear that bad news ... it's only a miracle (or, maybe my No-Pest Strip), that I have never had them ... all my outdoor bushes, plants, etc., are crawling with them ... my neighbor's dog brought them into his house, and totally infested his cannabis plants, real bummer ... he went the Neem Oil route, over and over again ... it was unsuccessful, now he uses the Strips, no mites ... good luck, there ... :smokin:

Preflowering, not sure if you can see detail, but here's a thread that has lots of pics! You kind of have to dig through.

I permalinked a post that is ALL YMTF (Yeag's MTF- the seeds are a Kenai Peninsula local version).

That MTF line is some of the best genetics I have ever had the pleasure of working with.

Sorry to hear about those damn mites. I haven't had a bug problem indoors yet but know I will at some point.

Those fucking mites take down my maple tree every year if I'm not on it with the bug spray once a week like clockwork....Miss a day and the little bastards are right back at it. It IS never ending (outdoors...) :wtf:

Neem the FUCK out of them.
I recommend Schultz' 3 in 1. It has the least offensive flavor.
But you've got to keep doing it A LOT for it to work.

I'm already using neem. Actually, I think one of the reasons I never got mites in the past was that I was using neem to battle thrips, and as a prophylactic against reinfestation. But I got cocky and stopped when the thrips died, and I'm paying the price now.
And last time I checked, Rotenone is the furthest thing from organic, lol... it stinks kerosene, too.
You can only imagine the stench in my house right now.
