usually, aside from leaf thickness telling you sativa/ indica, you can't really tell much of a strain until you start it flowering. most plants that you'll get are more than likely a cross between multiple strains somewhere down the family line. here's a grow i'm working on and most of those plants have fatter leaves meaning more indica. there are a few that have very skinny fingered leaves. sativa = head high, indica = body high
like i said, it's probably a cross breed.
