Cat Piss smell

Hello everyone, I have a curious queston about something I've not experienced before. For my outside grows, I have been using Mexi seeds pure sativa' for the past three years with wonderful results. Here in Texas, pests, heat and humidity cause many designer strains serious problems, where the mexi's seem to be very rsistant. Great yield, taste and trippy high.

Of the many plants growing, two have a distinct cat piss smell, while all others are wonderfully skunky. I've never had any cannnibis stain smell this way. Has anyone experienced this particular odor? I've been thinking that maybe these two plants have reverted to their genetic past, or maybe I just mixed seeds somehow.

These plants are well over five feet tall, even after two prunings, and are otherwise very healthy and vigorous. Any suggestions as to what causes this, or what they might be? Thanks...B

there is actually a cat piss pheno of Silver haze i believe, dont quote me. but ive heard its been known to smell like cat piss. my :twocents:

I also have heard of a cat pissy pheno of a close Trainwreck relative.
It's certainly one of those um.. delightful.. smells that cannabis can carry, lol!
Wait until you meet the rotten salami trainwreck line... mm mm good!

I do a strain from Hempdepot - breeder is Canadian seeds = Indoor mix . Theres always a cpl. plants that smell like cat piss .

I've smoked that cat pissy stuff as it was once readily available in my local area, it's just above average... dutch growers should know what it is as I do recall being told its of dutch origin when collecting

Uhhh, thanks so much...rotten salami? wow, cant wait. I was going to chop those two plants, and grind'em up for the compost. I'm really curious now. Once they grow out, and if I can ever figure out how to post pics, I'll post an update.

I grew some catpiss bagseed.....very nice high and easy grower. But the stuff REEKS. IT stinks when it grows, when it dries, when you smoke it.....from about 2 -3 weeks into blooming until it was all gone out of the house....it never stopped that strong ammonia type smell.

Quite the experience. Think I'll skip the rotten salami and the dogshit strain. :wtf:

I got some freebies from Hemp Depot couple years ago ?, and they 'probably' came from Canadian Seeds ... they were outstanding :thumbsup: , wish I'd made some seeds from that batch, oh well :smokin:
