ok so my fathers friend came over today, and bening an oldschool grower, took a look at my plant and told me to trim the upper fan leves to "increas" yeald mind you my girl has been flowering for a little under 2 weeks nowand he jsut clipped the majority of the upper fan leves, jsut leaving the major nodes they where "blooming", did he jsut kill my girl?

getting my pureblend pro bloom, and cal-mag plus any recomandations on feeding, ive been giving her molasses and water at a 6.0-6.5 ph

just finished a 3 gallon flush, checked the ph of the run off, and last flush was at ph 6.4 from 8.5 on the soil, and its was 7.9 on the first flush

I've always heard not to trim the fan leaves because they're used for nutrient storage, but if this guy does it regularly, it can't be that detrimental to your plant's growth.

wrong ... don't trim your fan leaves ... the fan leaves are like solar panels for your plant, your friend should go home and trim his own plants, and leave yours alone :jointsmile:

Well, my point was that it's not going to kill his plant, but it's still a bad idea. I'd say that's a fair assessment.

first grow, and cone was given to me, its a learning exp, next time around ima try from seed, and some composted cow manure, cuz this ph fluxiation crap is pissing me off, should have listend to stinkyattic, wait it did, but there was not composted cow poo where i went, oh well, strike one up for learning, and he didnt prune all the fan leves, i think thers still some there
