That is kind of a false fact, though. When an ice age comes along, the world is set into a theoretical spiral where it technically can't raise it's temperature, it just keeps getting lower and lower. The way that the earth recovers from this spiral is through the co2 gasses released by volcanoes. After a while, all of that co2 collects and makes a global warming effect, causing the ice age to discontinue. So really, there has to be a TON of co2 when there is an ice age, otherwise we would still be in one today.
