If someone tells you that you need an open mind to watch something, chances are that the concept is pretty far out there. If they didn't tell me about needing an open mind, It's different. But when someone requires you to have this, then basically they'll claim that anyone who doesn't side with them is obviously close minded. It's a ploy to make anyone who disagrees feel bad about themselves because of their "close-mindedness".
