What do you think will happen?
This is long, sorry guys..and kind of rambles..
Well, my boyfriend was originally arrested a few years ago for possession of marijuana, intent to distribute and a few other things. He got about a year in juvi, "improved" and was sent to a in-patient rehab type deal for a few months. I don't really know the specifics, I've never asked..kinda freaks me out. But anyway, he got out and was put on probation for 3 years, until he's 18. (I'm 17, he'll be 16 in a few days). About 6 months into his probation, he got arrested for theft, but he didn't actually steal anything he was just with people while they did it.. so it was more a 'guilty by association' type thing. again, I don't know the specifics. He had a hearing for his case, since he got arrested and the judge basically said "If I could put you in jail right now, I would.", and they made a court date for a few months later..now he has court tomorrow (Monday, July 16th) WELLLLL, about a week ago he got arrested again for trespassing.
Has anyone had anything related happen to them or a friend, and do you have any idea if he'll get more time, and if so..how long? I'm thinkin' he will..but he says he might "max out" which means he goes away for 2-3 years but my friends say maybe a few months at most.
This is a long shot, but I figured I'd ask.
Also, his mother said I could come with them to court tomorrow but my mom advises against it..she doesn't think its a good idea. Do you think I should go?
Like I said, long shot..but if you have any idea, speak your mind
Oh and if I do go to court with him, what should I wear?BabyFacedAbortion Reviewed by BabyFacedAbortion on . What do you think will happen? This is long, sorry guys..and kind of rambles.. I don't think anyone could give you an opinion that would be accurate, BFA. Just like with most cases, it'll depend entirely on that court/judge and on how good your boyfriend's attorney is, assuming he has one.
I tend to agree with your mom about staying home. Even if you were to go, he's going to be called to appear before the court with his mom and his attorney and no one else, so you wouldn't be standing up with him anyway or be nearby during the proceedings. You'd just be sitting in the background someplace.
If you are fine with that and want to go simply for moral support and to see him in case they cart him off in handcuffs after the proceedings, then dress conservatively. I suspect you're too young to own a blue suit, but I hope he has one. Seriously, just be conservative and not flashy, spiky, boheme, over-jeweled/pierced or short-skirted. Go easy on the eyeliner. It's about respect for the court, really, and not about appearing a certain way (other than as an upstanding, clean-living local youth, of course).\"That best portion of a good man\'s life: his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love.\"

ditto......, hopefully all will end well, but that END may take time, live while your young, learn from it, and be prepared from what you have learned...

With respect, I suggest you consider a new boyfriend, or more accurately a man. Your 'boy'friend, and that is exactly what he is, is obviously immature and seems to have a knack for trouble. Don't let him take you down with him.
Note: I respect love, and I know what it's like to care for someone with problems. But, always remember that YOU are the only one responsible for your happiness, and that means choosing the people you spend time with carefully.
Good luck, and I hope all works out well in the end.

Okay I got back about an hour ago...I wore knee-length jean skirt, a babydoll top with a tank top under it (brown and beige) with a brown jacket over it. Conservative but not..old looking. He wore black dress pants and a white button up shirt with black shoes...almost forgot to take his hat off before he went in (woops!)
They were missing evidence (his lawyer didn't hear two tapes he was supposed to) and he pleaded not guilty, so they gave him ANOTHER court date (I just realized this case has been going on for a little over 5 months..), for august 13th. The judge is pushing for 2 years (max tho) in a detention center.
thanks for the advice guys
I went in and sat with his mom on the benches too lol.

I'm with Majmike on this one.
If he gets away with a soft punishment it won't mean shit to him, and he'll carry on 'til the next load of shit hits the fan, do you want to be there when it does? It's about maturity, it's about realising that there are things you can do and things you don't do, and one day he'll cotton on, but he might be in his 30's before he does. Do you want to hang around outside the gates 'til then? Life's too short for that, yeh I know that at 17:-
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today
But the song goes on:-
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun (Pink Floyd)
I had a totally clean record at 17, then a series of minor offences (Obstructing a police officer, petty theft, drug possession) led to me ending up spending over 60% of the next 10 years in prison. If he isn't going to change NOW then move on, your number 1 duty is to yourself.
Hope I haven't sounded like yer grandpappy.

honestly, he has straightened up a lot. he wants to have a family with me one day and is learning how to act like an adult..even though he's only 15. The times he's gotten in trouble were because he was at the wrong place at the wrong time and he was also associated with the wrong people. He was living in my town for a while and got arrested twice, yesterday he moved back home with his mom and sisters, which is good.
at this point, I don't need a new guy. We're extremely happy together, he treats me great, and he's getting his shit together. Last time he went to jail he automatically pleaded guilty because he didn't care about himself or the people who love him, this time he's fighting it because a) he has a chance of winning and b) he doesn't WANT to be locked up this time.
i dunno, i'm rambling..sorry guys, but he's doing a good job at getting his shit together.

we learn, we burn, we carry on.
walk this earth to search and find.
and if you find the truth dont hide.
for this may be your last day to try.

I hope the guy gets fucked over...
he deserves it for everything he's put you and society through...
He sold crack once. Crack dealers deserve nothing but the worst. Exposing people to crack is one of the most awful things you can do.
