Remember them bucket days like they were yesterday!

Get one of your mothers metal knives poke it through into the empty bottle shake up and down gently and the bottom will fall out with a nice clean break.

The best way to take the bottom off a Irn Bru bottle or similar is to put a small heavy item such as a nut or bolt or small stone in the bottle close the lid and shake it the nut bolt or whatever will take the bottom cleanly off the bottle.
you might have to shake a few times if it doesn't work try another bottle, i have had no problem with this method it does work. Baldyhippys method also works well

From what I can remember, you hold the bottle over (or in?) boiling water, then drop and small stone in the bottom, and shake/tap it. The bottom will come CLEAN off if done right.
