Can weed really affect your memory?

it just makes me forget where i put stuff...and sometimes i'll walk in a room and forget for a few seconds why i came in the room

Earlier today, my roommate's friend phoned and left a message with me that I was supposed to tell my roommate when he woke up. But I can't remember what that message was for the life of me! This is kinda fucked... I'm thinking about quitting weed, because I can't allow my memory to get fucked around like this. What do you think? Rating: 5

i've always been forgetfull and when i smoke i usually just forget stuff while i'm high but i don't really care cuz it's never the important stuff.

I think the problem is that you were high either when you received the message or when you were giving it.

I haven't seen any real difference in my memory, though I've always had problems remembering stuff that wasn't important to myself or people important to me.

And if your friends gets pissed at you for forgetting a message, tell him to shut up, it's his fault for not being there to get it himself or for not being able to get in contact with his friend, you're not his secretary.

Though if you do take a message for someone in the future, just write it down so you won't forget.

I think that any short term memory loss that you have when you smoke is temporary. Keep smoking.:jointsmile:

You do tend to forget small things, or find it hard to recall things at times but this is generally while your high, a bit after you got high or a few days after smoking heavily.

If anything, Weed can open up a new line of thinking and creativity in those who use it right... Everything has it's ups and downs, and it comes down to 'choice'; & 'for every action, there's an equal and opposite reaction'.
