A pro's opinion please
Here we have an Old affy strain so I'm told.. The guy I got it from has had it for 25 years and every time its diffrent, It has never been consitent in its looks or taste. He doesnt smoke so he care's nothing about quality only $$ . So I (who Love smoke) am out to show him his and his plants potential. This is my batch #6, I have had all the normal problems, Heat, bugs, bad timers, light leakage from mother plant, etc etc. This is my 1st attempt at T5 8 tube set up, (formerly a 400hps setup) And no known problems have popped up , temps are good, 12/12 on 10-21-07 and now on fresh water, I may have started em too young? I didnt look for the signs, as I am a noob and wanted them to be shorter due to space. Do they look ok? Should I strip leaves for the last few weeks? They are ALL natural, No trimming has been performed. they seem small and not very fat bud wise, But lots of red hairs. They do Smell Awsome and have about 20% amber tichrohms. Any sugestions or better yet a pro to give me your opinion would be greatly appreciated. This will be the last time for this strain as plantskunk has hooked me up with a new begining . Thank you for your time.

Do not strip leaves. They create food for the plant. Everything else looks good. Harvest at about 80 percent trichrome at golden brown. Hydro be sure to flush with fresh H20 for at least a week before harvest.

Heat was the main problem, I was hoping these T5's would be the answer. Still hot but not so intense.

yea. i know how you feel about the lighting. i currently have a 400 watt system and just ordered a 250 hps system. the 400 watt was not that bad in my room (temp around 80) but that was during winter haha. since its summer i figure that i would have to downgrade unless i wanted to buy an a/c. and really dont want to do that because its pricy and kills the electric bill. im currently using cfl for vegging and will use the 250 hps for budding which will be in about 2 weeks. using LST method and it is working out great. i started off with 4 plants and one turned out male so im down to 3. im hoping for 2 females. next time i will def. go with clones or feminized seeds. check out my grow log in this same section titled "First Indoor Grow":rastasmoke: i was going to post some pics tonight but i forgot to grab my platform
will do tomorrow around 11ish. later!

Keep it up; you're doing well.
You are not going to get the bud mass that you see in pictures where peeps are running 1k or more grows, but for flouros, you have a very good result.
IMHO, KEEP THAT STRAIN!!! Even if you run something else next time, you'll kick yourself in the future if you lose those genetics- old affys are beautiful plants, great flavor, top-notch for breeding too.
