This is a possible scenario-
Very likely you can plead that the state has enough evidence to convict you on one of the charges (not a guilty plea, it gets entered as continued without finding) as part of a deal to drop the other. You would then be put on probation for a number of years after which time the charges would be dropped if you don't get in any more trouble.
I was recently arrested for a pair of felonies and got one charge dropped for agreeing that the evidence was enough for a conviction. This is REALLY common where I'm from (MA).
If you DO get in trouble or violate yor probation in any way, the downside is that you've waived your right to a trial and have to serve the time.
