Alright I just got approved California Legal so it's time to start-a-growin:thumbsup: Since I am a minor just want to let you know, IT IS OK TO GIVE ME ADIVCE! haha. I'm not exactly sure who will be tending my plants, me or my dad, so I might let him on my name here to ask questions. Anyways to start with my set-up, which I am planning right now. I plan to grow 2 plants(either clones or female seed).Me and a friend will build a cabinet sometime within the next 3 weeks which will consist of the measurements 51/2ftH x 5ftW x 31/2ftD. Let's start wiht lights. I will be doing a CFL grow(yes ghetto I know), and I plan to get two of these lights http://cgi.ebay.com/200-Watt-FLUORES...QQcmdZViewItem 200watt CFL's, and some mogul capable ballasts for them. I will also add lower wattage CFL's in the right color spectrum, for vegetive, and flowering. I will also be purchasing a timer for the lights. Alright, now that I have explained my lighting, let's explain my ventilation. Actually i'll start with the carbon filter, thank fucking god I have my friend (who seems to be knowledgable in building) is helping me build this cab. and some panty hose, and we should be in business with that. I'm gonna be rocking fat, doublt intake, and double outtake fans, becuase of the size of my cabinet. Two orders of this pack of fans http://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Products...4391416&sr=1-2 and that should take of ventilation. I also plan to put a little 5" fan to blow around lightly. I am going to cover all the walls in mylar aswell.. Alright so those are the basic outlines as of right now, and I am willing to take advice,comments,etc.....now I just need to choose which strain I want to grow and build the thing. BTW I plan to grow an indica. Oh and I might be missing some stuff, i'm a little out of it today, and we just made these plans on the fly. So if you guys notice something missing, please point it out!

i would try to do 2 rooms and more cfl's or go with a small hps. as everyone says 50watts psf.
also go buy some good genetics from a retiputable seed bank. and you should be good. dont forget a carbon scrubber

Look for the new filter socks that just came out. I'm testing one out- you can even throw them in the wash, lol. And inexpensive. For a small med grow, you may not need anything larger!

This is cool, funky Matt and his funky plants. We'll be nice to your pops- he should register himself, like PapaFunk or something so we know who he is.

I don't like mylar for anything larger than a microgrow. Look into Panda Film instead. It is a far superior product for most uses- it's more durable, lightproof, and doesn't lose its reflectivity when dirty like mylar.

For antianxiety plants to put in there, see if you can find a strain called Black Indica. It's veeeery mellowing.
