healthy munchies
A clean, COLD, nonbruised fuji apple. I swear it's fun to eat it stoned it tastes so, so good.
Trail mix is good too and it's easy to make your own. Just take one trip to the store to pick up bags of what you like in it. Whatever assortment of nuts (walnuts, pinesnuts, almonds, peanuts, cashews, mmm), dried berries (cranberries instead of raisens [sp?]
), m&m's if you want some chocolate in it. YOu can mix it all and save it in a container and take what you need as you need.
Birdgirl, except for raw carrots, I don't really like vegetables raw but I'll usually toss a whole lot in a salad. I like the different premade salads you can buy in your grocery store because it's all prepared (I just do a quick rinse just to be safe) and I know I can eat it before it goes bad. I'll add plenty of bell pepper, carrots, onion, and top it off with a little honey mustard dressing. I'll also pick up fresh mint and chop a good amount of that up and throw it in the salad, it complements that dressing really well (andhelps with your digestion
). You should try it sometime it's really good. And usually what I'll do is take the salad and add everything but the mint and dressing, then store it in a container. When I want to have some I just need to chop the mint and I'm set.
Broccoli soup is good too. I love it. Just take like a base soup mix, like leek soup/dip mix (Knorr makes a good one), and add chopped up broccoli in with everything. Cook it as usual and it comes out great. I also like to make the stalk into somewhat small pieces about as wide/tall as a penny (or a little skinnier and taller) just so they all cook at an even rate. You could probably add potatoes if you wanted to.
See, this is something we could have in a diet/exercise section
lol, I'm still hoping we get that sections, but I don't know...
