flaws in your own system...
well there's plenty of people willing to point out flaws in the rival systems... (i.e. wii, ps3, 360) but what about the system you own? what flaws or dislikes have you found in them? (and don't say nothing, it's got to be 100% literally impossible to make the perfect system..)
the main flaw i've found in ps3 thus far, lies in the controller... the internal battery is fine, the signal is fine... it's with the l2 and r2 buttons.... they're so damn sensitive, the slightest touch makes it register that you pressed it... so you can't even really rest your finger there to be ready, because you're always ending up pushing it...
as example, in resistance, r2 is used to change/select weapons... i've not had 10 minutes of game play yet where i haven't accidnetly changed my weapon 3-4x, usually at the most crucial point, in the middle of a heavy shootout...
it is rather annoying at times....
also the heat could be a real problem if you don't have the addon fans, it does seem to get rather hot... i highly recommend investing the 30-40 on the fan set up (depending on which one you get) if you get a ps3...slipknotpsycho Reviewed by slipknotpsycho on . flaws in your own system... well there's plenty of people willing to point out flaws in the rival systems... flaws in your own system...
I have an XB360 and honestly, the only flaw I can find isn't exactly with the system, but with the game development.
I play mainly sports games... Madden, NHL2007 etc..
And the biggest thing that bothers me is how all of the new games utilize the thumbstick to do more enhanced maneuvers. On NHL, the right stick is now used to juke and deke as well as shoot in some instances.
The shooting motion is unnatural though. You're trying to skate around with the directional and then you have to pull back on the right stick and then push forward on it to shoot the puck. It's annoying.
On Tiger Woods, you have to pull back on the left thumbstick to draw the club back and then quickly push forward on it to follow through on the swing. Unfortunately though, it's extremely difficult to motion the thumbstick down and up and still keep it on a straight line. So you innevitably end up shanking your drive.
As far as system imperfections, I do notice that my games freeze up quite a bit. It's not dirty discs or anything like that because it even happens to new games.
I wouldn't mind if I hadn't paid 400 bucks for the system, but for that kind of money, they really need to make sure things like that don't happen. It would also be nice if they included a second controller. 400 bucks is way to much to spend on the console and one controller and no games.
Shoot, growing up, Sega Genesis came with 2 controllers and a game and never froze up the way the 360 does.

My 360 gets too many DRE's it scares me as it reminds me of the horrid PS2 experience I had last generation.
I would also like to say that the 360 headsets are far too brittle or delicate I had two of them and both of them have problems.
But that's it, it's the closest to perfect console ever. MS covered all bases, I just wish they would have ironed out the DRE and Freezing issues.

i own and love my 360 but god damn this thing have a lot of problems. the dvd drive is horrible, its most likely going to break on my here soon. as melkane said, the headsets are very brittle. i guess there is a big problem with overheating and red ring of death so much so that they extended the warranty for three years covering this. if i didn't hate the ps3 controllers so much i might of gotten that instead and waited for them to iron out these problems.

the thing I hate the most about the 360 is the controller's battery life.

I've had my wii for a little over a month now. And the only complaints I have are the graphics (which aren't TOO bad) and the online play or lack therof. Who the hell wants to put in a 16 digit code just to play somebody online?
