    MAJOR PROBLEM!!!! HELP!!!!

Boric acid based ant poison- boric acid in cane sugar. Put out a couple of traps, let the ants feed on them, return to nest- nest will die in 2-3 days. I don't remember the brand name of what I use, but it was the cheapest option at an agway.

I'd also have a look for aphids- they often co-infest.
I assume you understand that we have options on your time,
And we will ditch you in the harbour if we must-
But if it all works out nicely,
You\'ll get the bonus you deserve
    From doctors we trust.

Thing is when it comes time to smoke them you'll be finding ants in the buds.
Boric acid has been used for years some ants know what it is and know better they have adapted.
You may need to use a proper ant-killer, but the easiest thing to do would be to transplant to another pot using clean new soil, shake out your existing rootball to get all the ants off it, then clean the plant up as much as possible. Spray it with Neem oil if you can get it, even the soil, or some "safer" spray "bug off" its organic and safe on buds.

After all of this lay ant POISON granules by the pot, so the ants coming to the pot will find the granules first and take them home and bye bye ants.

Surprisingly, ants are not quite the friends we once thought. Although ants are often seen swarming over plants in the garden which are infested with aphids, attracted by the sweet honeydew, (produced by the aphids,) ants can actually promote the spread of aerial aphids, and increase the activity of root aphids.

Cinnamon is both repugnant and fatal to ants. As you sprinkle it or water it into the soil you will see the ants scurrying out of their nests. Ants are also susceptible to pyrethrum drenches and other biological insecticides. With a spoon, sprinkle ground cinnamon, which can be purchased at any herb shop or grocery store, on the top of the planting medium. Then make a drench using two rounded tablespoons of ground cinnamon per gallon of hot water. Let the water cool to room temperature then add a liquid pyrethrum insecticide into the solution as directed. A surfactant such as Coco-Wet will make the solution more effective. Use the solution as a drench.

o0o0o thanks you i never though cinnamon would be a ant repellant. I never went out and got some ant killer because i didnt notice any damage to the plants from the ants but yesterday i was out their and i noticed that they are eating the green off the stalk but other then that no damage. once again thank you everyone

A pyrethrin drench would solve your problem, too. It's a natural insecticide extracted from a species of chrysanthemum. Almost zero toxicity to humans, it breaks down into totally harmless compounds very quickly.

Oh, and if you've got lots of ants, you may even see a flush of green on your plant when they die. Ants are high in nitrogen.

    MAJOR PROBLEM!!!! HELP!!!!

I had an an problem and aphid problem. 'Terro' ant baits can help control them. Try to find where the ants are getting in and put the trap there to keep them from getting near your plants. Put several of them out and it they will usually handle them. If there are several ant colonies, and there usually are, the traps may not kill them all, but they will at least keep them from your plants.
To put a quick stop to them on the plant wrap some blue painters masking tape around the base of the stem and paint it with tanglefoot. the ants get stuck in it and the painters tape easily peels off the stem leaving no damage.
:vap_rasta: When in doubt, whip it out :vap_rasta:
