Urine has to be yellow??

I have never had to take a drug test but now I am looking hard for more work. I'm curious, my urine is ALMOST ALWAYS clear if I drink my normal amount of water it takes to keep me from getting thirsty. It's only yellow if I do something odd like mow the backyard without drinking or something. Is this a problem? Do I need to thirst to death all morning before a test? How can they discriminate against someone like me who just normally chugs LOTS of water every day? Anyone else have this problem, solutions?

Don't even worry about it.. they'll be able to tell if its pee or not. hah my pee is clear sometimes when im hydrated

Sadly they are not discriminating against water drinkers. If you are drinking over 40 ounces of fluid every 3 hours (in a 3 hour period of time, however you want to look at it)then you may test dilute. Staying under that isn't dying of thirst. They test for dilution by specific gravity and creatinine clearance, not by color.

Ahh, okay. I know it's not testing for water drinkers, I'm having quite a time not smoking, especially when my friend has some of his sample popcorn nugs dried and he is holding them for me while he waits for the main harvest. :wannapuff: I was just curious b/c the guy who works for labcorp was talking about taking vitamin B for color if you dilute... :/

I've only smoked a few dubbies in the past month last being almost a week ago. got called in yesterday for a random,drank 80 oz water on the way to site [1 hour] anybody think I passed?

Thanks everyone for the info! I'm a big fat fatty so I guess I better not toke any until after I get a job.. Somehow I can't wrap my mind around substitution, I would feel so nervous and drop my bottle or something.. :/

Dont be, man. Im not saying to go out and smoke before your drug test if you dont feel comfortable, but like many things in life dont let the fear get to you. I used the sub. method on my second drug test and it was soooo easy. The lab I used it at gave me a private bathroom with a door and a lock and FOUR minutes to pee. I could take a shit in half that time. Companies who hire a lot of new employees contract with local clinics for conveniance, and these clinics have drug testing operations just for that purpose, and they follow certain guide lines. So I would say its safe to say 90%+ of pre employment drug tests will be the same. Sub. method worked like a charm for me, so I was able to smoke whenever I wanted to. Just trying to help you feel comfy subbing it.
