Wooden pipe

My only glass pipe was stolen so I'm out of things to smoke with 'sides some papers. I was thinking of making a wooden pipe from a fallen maple tree in my yard. =D

Is this a good type of wood to use? Anyone have some good techniques or designs i could see? Any help would be appreciated.

lol a lathe. All you need is a sharp knife, a peice of wood, and the determination to get stoned.

how do you make the holes with a knife??? at some point you need a drill. and the first dozen bowls are going to be harsh as fuck untill you get a thick enough resin build-up so the wood doesnt burn. but i use my wood pipe all the time. took me a couple days to make, but the hole is smaller than my glass, so no ashes fall through.

I would do it.

It's nice to smoke out of something you made from nature. A friend of mine made a pipe out of an old weed plant stalk....it was awsome!
