I never knew the reason behind the 10:10/10-2 thing and I have always wondered. I've asked sales people in jewelry stores repeatedly. They've never known either. This makes me happier than you can know to finally find out!

Yeah its weird isn't it everyone would just generally assume that the match was made first.

Haha i just went to Official Rolex Website > Timeless Luxury Watches to check if that smiling thing is true, and the title of the site is "Official Rolex Website> Timeless Luxury Watches" and then I thought, wow if they are timeless, doesn't that defeat the purpose of wearing a watch, cause it should be able to tell time haha.
(Yes, I know timeless has a dual meaning, I just found it funny.)

The Rolex website is keeping real time. I guess what I said holds more true to print ads. If you look at a magazine like GQ it is filled with watch ads and they are almost all positioned like that. I think that is where I read that too.

Did you know, during WW2, if you worked in an ammunition factory and got caught with matches, you'd be imprisoned to make an example.
