Rain
So do you think the rain is finally over? Last week the water was about 1/2 an inch from coming thru my back door. I never thought I'd say this, but I think I need a couple of 100 degree days without a cloud in the sky. Don't get me wrong, I like watching it rain, but it was getting pretty bad.

All this water sure has gotten the skeeter trucks out. Wouldn't be Summer without them I guess. LOL

I sure wish they would run the skeeter trucks near us. We can't possibly go outside between 7pm and midnight, and again from 5am to 8am.
We live right next to the water, so it's been really rough around here. Lots of road closings and damage to property. Luckily, the land we live on is elevated enough to keep us dry.
I remember working outside in construction in 1980, when we had no rain for three months, and it was over 100 degrees for about that long as well. The worst day that year was 117 degrees with a heat index of over 125. That was not fun....:cursing:
Hope everyone on here is safe and not having any major problems from the rain. Remember last year at this time we were all scared because of how low the lakes were.
Take care and have a great day.
Onward!

I dunno if its over but at least we've been getting a small break around here. Could someone remind me what they call that big bright thing up in the sky, I seem to vaguely remember seeing it before....
