Ever dislocate a body part?
There I was yesterday evening, trudging up the street in 4 inch wedges, carrying a briefcase, a heavy bookbag, a purse, and my IPOD, and I tripped on a bump in the sidewalk. I fell hard on my knees, and apparently also caught myself with my right hand- I looked down and my middle finger was bent at a perfect right angle! It was the weirdest looking thing ever I have ever seen- at first I thought I broke it! But then I straightened it up, and it popped back into place! WHOA- good thing I hadn't been smoking, it might have freaked me out.
Today it is really swollen and won't bend. I look like I am flipping the bird
I am hitting the Advil pretty heavy and it is too hard to type this way.....
So if anyone has dislocated anything, how long does it take to heal? I am going to ice it down again- I had it iced last night and it helped.
How weird was it to see a part of your body twisted like that- unbelievable!Demeter Reviewed by Demeter on . Ever dislocate a body part? That was more than 2 years ago and they still give me trouble. In fact, my back is tweaking a bit right now. I think though that a lot of the problem was how long it took me to finally seek treatment.

Ever dislocate a body part?
thats hardcore if you just popped it right back in. Anything funny happens and you go to the doctor right away, could be a hairline fracture or something.
Ive dislocated my pinky and did not enjoy getting it reset at all

Dislocated shoulder. It was dislocated for me by a crazy person. I didn't pop it back in because there was also a fractured collarbone and lots of other injuries. Took me two months on that total shoulder package healing. The shoulder is still stiff 25 years later.
I'm guessing your finger swelling and pain will diminish within three weeks or so, but possibly up to six. Advil's great, as is that ice and any elevation you can give it. So sorry that happened to you, Demeter!\"That best portion of a good man\'s life: his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love.\"

Ever dislocate a body part?
I've dislocated my right knee 4 times, the last one happened on Memorial Day. Each time it has happened I was playing baseball. Recovery period seems to depend on how violently the joint snaps back into place, more then how violently it was dislocated.
The first time I did it the bone bruise lasted for 8 months. This last time was the most brutal dislocation, of all, only lasted 4 weeks. The difference was that the last time the kneecap gently slid back in place as oppossed to snaping back.\"You mean a career? Uh. I don\'t know. Ahem. I\'ve thought about this quite a bit, sir, and I would have to say, considering what\'s out there for me, I don\'t want to sell anything, buy anything, or process anything. I don\'t want to sell anything bought or processed, buy anything sold or processed, or process anything bought, sold, or processed, or repair anything bought, sold, or processed, you know, as a career, I don\'t want to do that.

Yes, my left ankle. It's still fucked up to this day. If I run too fast or too long I might fall flat on my face
