Need rolling help

I've never really been taught how to roll a joint because most people I smoke with only smoke bowls, bongs, and blunts. I can roll bluts pretty well but everytime I try a joint I mess it up and have to try 3 or 4 times before I get a decent one. I have read a lot of how to guides online and I got it down for the most part. The big problem with me is when I try and tuck the paper over to start the roll. I cant really keep it tight and a lot of weed usually falls out the sides. If anyone could help me it would be much appreciated because I want to be able to roll a fat perfect joint and all I can get now is a crooked pencil.

i have the same problem. so i took the lazy way out. ill learn the right way eventually, but for now, im going with whats easy. get a bic pen, and roll your paper around that and seal it off, then pull the paper out so it sticks halfway or more above the end of the pen. pack your weed in through the top annd keep pushing it down with the pencil, but do it carefully so the paper doesnt bend. anyways proceed until you have filled up the joint, but leave a little space where your mouth will be going and twist up the end youre going to light up. i like to put crutches or mouthpieces on my joints because the end doesnt get mashed down with saliva and i can still hit it clearly even at the end. get a piece of thin cardboard (i just break a piece off of the rolling paper pack) and roll it up into a spiral and stick it in the end of the j where you will put your mouth. then you could make the joint hard by getting it damp with your lips and using a lighter to CAREFULLY dry out the dampness, so just light the lighter about a half inch away from the j, be carefull to not burn any of the paper. its pretty easy after your first attempt, but it leaves you with a nice sized joint that hits very good.:thumbsup:

I have a friend that uses a credit card to tuck the edge over. It's kind of hard to explain how he does it, but I'll try.

Prep the joint like normal
Start to roll
When you get the the tuck over part of your roll grab a credit card or ID and put the top edge long way against the paper that needs tucked.
Now you can tuck the full length of the paper at once.
Once the paper is tucked remove the card and finish your roll

I hope this made sense...it's easier to watch and I don't have a camera of any type or else I would show you.

I will watch my sister struggle for five minutes trying to tuck the paper into itself and roll from there, when all you really have to do is fold it over once it is shaped right and then roll it up.

If you end up not making any progress just wrap a paper around a pencil and stuff it with shake. make sureyou have a roach at the end so it doesnt fall out.

or if all else fails, get a cheap zig zag cigarette roller, works great with weed too. here they are like 1.50$

I'm a lazy ass and I bought a cigarette rolling machine at muh headshop for 5 bucks. :-)

Its hard to explain to someone how to do it.

I get the weed in the paper and then I fold the bottom part up to about the gum line. then w index fingers touching in the back, I use my thumbs to squish it all tight and smooth the paper down. When the paper is just at the weed line, I put my index fingers on the front w the rest of my fingers supprting the back and thumbs underneath and then roll it til the paper is safely tucked in and then index fingers go to the back again and finish twistin it up. A beauty every time!

A friend of mine uses the dollar bill trick and she rolls pretty ones too. Gotta be careful w that tho, sometimes they tend to be too tight til you get the hang of it
