We got a ton of rain, but nothing like y'all did. No flooding or anything. The skeeters are bad, and I notice more summer bugs than usual anyway. I think they're trying to get away from all the moisture outside. It's been an amazingly wet sping and summer so far. Dave and I are driving up to Texoma this weekend to check out the lake levels. There'll be no way to fish or rent a boat because the ramps are all closed. But it'll just be interesting to see how high it is in comparison to the last two years of bone drought.

Yes, Stonebriar, that is it!

The rain has been excessive, but how nice is it that it is bout mid July and it is in the 80s and 90s. One for the record books.
Speaking of bugs- do yall ever get those bag worms? We had them something awful. When it finally quit raining one day, my husband (also a Dave, btw) sprayed stuff up in the trees and it was raining worms for almost 10 minutes. The ones that didnt die tried their damnedest to get in our house, for retribution, I'm sure. Nasty little things.

Oh that will be a fun trip- you'll likely see water straining various banks on your way up there, too. I heard Texoma was stirred up but good!
nice to talk to you
