Bush's leniency and secrecy - Impeachment

I am now ashamed to admit that voted for this prick (twice), every time I look up he's hiding something from Congress or ignoring a subpoena, and now he's letting Scooter Libby off the hook for takng the fall for him.

Apparently there are no lengths to which he will not go, and I get more pissed off with each new thing.

I am a lifelong Republican, voted for Dubya twice, am a retired USAF officer, and I am ready for someone to impeach this asshole.

We all know that many have disliked him from the beginning, but I want to know how many more like me there are, who went from supporters to intense dislike these last few years.

    Anybody out there? :cursing:

George Bush took the same oath you and I and countless others have taken - to protect and defend the United States from all enemies, foreign and domestic.

GWB has failed to uphold his oath of office and has, in fact, invited Mexico to invade our country. (If you don't think it's an invasion, try and stop it!)

He is guilty of many other crimes, but inviting this invasion is by far his most egregious, IMHO. He should be not only impeached, but tried for treason - along with all those in his administration who have participated in this treachory!

I was too young to vote for him the 1st time, but I sure as hell didn't vote for him in 2004!

He's like the poster boy for spoiled little brats and connections.

Republicans have to go back to their libertarian roots!

That's pretty over the top man. Treason is the act of knowingly betraying your nation, not failing to deal with issues that have survived many administrations. Poor governance makes you accountable to the voters, in democratic societies we don't execute leaders for making an effort (even a half-assed one) and not succeeding. And yes, I do think his efforts have been moronic and gross failures, but there was no proveable intention to actually support the "invasion."

Here's my question: I can forgive you as a lifelong Republican voting for the asshole the first time, But what the fuck is wrong with you? You voted for the prick the second time around. what were you thinking? Wasn't there enough evidence after the first 4 years that this asshole was insane, man I just don't get people that voted for the prick the second time. I see the southern Babtist Idiots reasons, they were so fucking stupid as to think Bush was a Christian, But a retired AF officer, I'd have thought you'd have some intelligence. Bush is about the furthest thing you can get from a Christian. That skull and bones thing is pure devil worship. At least you finally came to your senses, welcome aboard the Impeachment train.

A funny encounter on The Colbert Report while he was doing his "The Word" segment:

Colbert: We know that Nancy Pelosi has now stated on a few occasions that impeachment is off the table

    Teleprompter: See "President Cheney"

Bush has knowingly allowed the United States to be invaded by a foreign power. How over the top is that?

Failing to secure our borders, failing to enforce our immigration laws, these are not bad governance. Bad governance is trying and failing. Bush has completely refused to even try to enforce the laws or protect the border. That, by definition, is treason.

If you need a motive, read up on the NAU.

And, by the way, in a democracy, votes are counted, not manipulated.

They always go after the V.P. first....so Bush appoints a new one. Bush resigns with no problems because of Presidential Pardons from his appointed V.P. that just took charge. That V.P. moved up and appointed a new V.P.

O.K. people........watch your future in case of "impeachment proceedings". And there is NO way congress or senate could stop it!

I agree I chose poorly, but I thought it was the lesser of two evils. Kerry just did not seem Presidential to me, so I stuck with the guy in office.

At least this election we have some real choices, although many of the Republicans seem like copies of each other, all except Ron Paul. I don't see any way for him to win the nomination though, so right now I am leaning towards Obama (I can't stand Hillary).
