If you have some really good crystally weed, and you take your lighter, and pass it over the whole surface of the bud, to burn as many trichomes as you can without actually burning the weed, that hit will be the smoothest, best tasting hit EVER...and it DOES get you high, you just have to sit and wiat a few minutes and it'll hit you.

I think the thing that people like about the second hit, like BlAzInIt4:20 said, is that you can "feel" it more right away.

This comes from the plant matter burning and you get more carcinogenic smoke into your lungs, which make your lungs feel wierd, therefore you feel a strong sensation, which you equate with getting higher, which is not necessarily the case.

I think that is the thing with the vaporizor (which I do not have one, YET), that it is a much smoother smoke but you don't feel that chest-tightening that you get with a bowl or even more with a joint (because of the paper).

I think it would be hard to get used to NOT feeling that strong feeling of the 2nd hit if one were to start vaping instead.

Damnit! I shoulda known youd get there first lol. The Fog is right, the second hit is more crucial because it contains more smoke, more carcinogenic compounds and more CBD, as these compounds have a higher combustion point. However the first hit usually has a higher ppm count of undamaged THC vapor if done right.

Remember kiddies, the flame destroys about 50% of the THC on contact! I cherry it quickly, then place my thumb over the bowl to create a venturi effect. Remember your physics? Less volume=higher pressure. The less space the air has to go into the bowl, the faster it will go through, meaning a more concentrated supply of oxygen, meaning a better burning cherry. Then I puff it a couple times to allow the cherry to even out a bit. Its almost frustrating smoking with other people because I watch them hit it and I see how inefficiently they smoke. Even people who have been smoking 4 times longer than me, and Ive been smoking for 10 years. And people always wonder why I get so much higher lol... oh and roaches too.. Im not too good for any roach. Thats where like 21% of the THC is. Ill hit that bitch til theres nothing but paper left.
