While you were dealing with experiences that were not in the material plane, but true, and of course unexplainable, at least by you because you don't want to dumb down your thinking and explain it to us simpletons, I've managed to learn everything about the universe. It's well ... really hard to explain, but it is the truth (lolz duh) because it obviously happened. i had to learn it somehow but you guys probably wouldn't understand anyways because you're all idiots (lolz). Call it a symptom of humanity.

Or the even more popular saying, "He (or she) who asks a question is a fool for five minutes; he (or she) who does not ask a question remains a fool forever." It's an old Chinese proverb. I'm Latin, for curiosities' sake.

Everything has gotten out-of-hand. Religion was conceptualized as means to enslave the human spirit in delusions of grandeur. Delusions, such as "heaven" and "hell." However, science is fundamentally flawed, too. It attempts to answer age-old questions but ultimately it lacks, where the "searchers" grow lazy and bewildered when they fail to unearth the roots of our existence. I cannot find spiritual fulfillment in science or religion, despite many attempts to conform to constitutional principles. Call it a skeptic's mind.
I agree with you whole-heartedly. Thats why I denounce religion, and take scientific principles with a grain of salt. I was born and raised Catholic(obviously I realized the error in my ways), and my college major is Nuclear Physics. I will continue to search for the truth for my entire life and will never stop, gaining more and more perspectives, more "knowledge" and more experience along the way until my death.

I live my life by three rules:

To always remain as close to completely open-minded as is humanly(or even inhumanly) possible

To learn as much about everything and anything I possibly can at anytime in any way from anybody or any situation.

To always remember that I know NOTHING.

Very systematic approach to discovering the truth. Don't get too caught up in it though, you might just end up a prisoner of your own device.

Well I wrote a response to this but it didnt go through and was gone when I went back a page in the browser

Anyway you are right, it is very easy to get stuck in a loop with circular reasoning like that. However I am not the average person, and the intimate reasoning behind my stance is clear as day to me. Also, frequent introspective meditation allows me to take a step back and view my life and my universe from the outside, to ensure I remain rooted without becoming planted. If that makes any sense to you.

Ah yes, self-reflection. How empowering it is to stop for a moment to observe all what you have thought, acted on, and said. Self-reflection is an underrated concept in today's society.

I think they're saying "no" to the thread title Whenever someone makes a weird post without reference to anything, always look back to the first post or the title.

I thought you would like this.

"We like to flatter ourselves with the false claim to a more noble motive; but in fact we can never, even by the strictest examination, completely plumb the depths of the secret incentives of our actions." Immanuel Kant (1724-1804)

We must never stop growing, our journey of self-discovery catalyzing the thirst for knowledge in all things. Keeping our minds open to new things and ideas is the key, so that knowledge is received with a questioning mind/spirit.

"The greatest obstacle to discovery is not ignorance -- it is the illusion of knowledge." Daniel J Boorstein

    Lastly, a poetic summation.

"We shall not cease from exploration . . And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started . . And know the place for the first time.
Through the unknown, remembered gate.. " (T.S Elliot, Four Quarters)

    Peace.
