    Cutting back

I have attached a picture. How far can I cut this thing back. As you can see, I have 4 Afghani veging with it. It was started about 3-4 weeks before the little ones.

    Cutting back

When you say cut back, what do you mean? Cut back the lights, nutes, trim nodes?

If you meant trim, I would cut off the lower half growth of that plant and not the center branch.

I did mean trim. Its getting too tall and it isn't in the 12/12 flowering stage yet. When you say trim the bottom half, to you mean the whold lower branches or select ones. Also, what do you mean center branch? Thanks for the tips. I am new to this.

I would not top it personally at this stage. You can tie it so the top shoot is lower than a couple of the side nodes and the effect will be similar. I fine that topping a plant too far down the stalk frequently allows disease to attck it. Pinching the top growht is perfectly safe though, just pinch off the growing tip, but not if you plan to flower he within the next 3 weeks.
Removing entire lower branches can help with air flow in an overcrowded grow room, and reduce the proportion of annoying popcorn buds that suck balls to trim after harvest.

My advice is to bend it over, not to top it.

I agree with Stinkyattic. Don't top, just bend and tie down. This plant will do anything you want it to.

About the center branch, I was talking about the trunk, just kiddin around.
As for trimming, keep the four top branches and get rid of anything below it. Then bend and tie. This will allow your afghani's to catch up.
