police
Here's another personal example of "Minneapolis' Finest" in action, apologies in advance it's a little long but was a personal experience.
Fucking bastards, I had to deal with them personally earlier this summer. When they came and raided a housewarming party over a noise complaint. The officers were very rude to everyone and actually told many who were visibly drunk to get driving home if they didn't live there. People who were obviously in no condition to get driving. Everyone attending was of legal age, and the party was a wop so we were all visibly hammered. Turns out the complaint was made by a lady two houses down on the opposite side of the street who called just because the previous tennants had been known to have loud parties... I was persoannly called out and approached and had a rather interesting stand-off with the 2 officers that went somewhat as follows, I was being polite the whole time and made sure my tone was:
*I had been standing in the corner watching some of the events unfold*
Cop1: "Do you live here?"
Me: "No, but my friend does and I'm spending the night, I'm supposed to be here"
Cop1: "If you don't live here you have to leave"
Me: "I'm pretty drunk and I have nowhere to go"
Cop1: "Go home"
Me: "And how am I supposed to get there? I was driven out here by my friend"
Cop1: "Get a ride"
Me: "My friend is quite visibly drunk, so are 90% of the people here are you really suggesting we all drive right now?" (they had been telling people to get in thier cars and leave which I'm sure was a setup to make more arrests)
Cop1: "Catch a bus"
Me: "Officer, it's 1:30am they don't run this late"
Cop1: "Call a cab"
Me: "Can't afford it"
Cop1: "Then get walking"
Me: "I live 2 counties away, and in my current state? I don't think so unless your gonna promise my safe return home and that no cops will stop me between here and there... You could give me a ride" (so my tone was getting a little sarcastic by this point)
Cop1: "I don't have time for that"
Me: "And I'm not leaving then"
Cop1: "Just go sit outside until I figure something out"
Me: "I was on my way out to have a cig before you guys barged in the door, so yes If you don't mind, I'll take my drink with me too"
*So then I'm on my way out grumbling quietly to myself about the stupidity of the situation when cop2 the real asshole of them gives me a hard time*
Cop2: "You there in the hooodie, trying to stir things up?! You live here?"
*I look up the stairs kinda suprised*
Me: " No, but I'm supposed to be here. I just talked to your buddy man, I'm on my way out"
*raise my glass as if giving cheers really sick of this shit at this point*
Cop2: "Looks to me like your trying to rile people up"
Me: "I was looking down talking to myself..."
Cop2: "You better not be inciting a riot"
Me: "Are you serious?! It's a house party and I'm just talking to YOU because YOU stopped me"
Cop2: "You need to shut the fuck up and get the hell out of here, or you're leaving in the back of my squad car!"
*wtf is this dude's deal?*
Me: "If I have to leave a ride would be nice, I'll be outside on the steps"
I then sat outside on the steps smoking a cig and finishing my drink as they pulled more BS in the house. Eventually they came outside and formally apologized to me... claiming "we're not usually the bad guys" to which I replied "Just on Fridays, huh?" they glared and left. Corrupt power hungry dicks.
