I've mentioned in other posts....The Beatles all the way. they have so many different sounds and their live shit (though scarce) is flawless...If anyone is getting into them now check out the Anthology series especially #3. there are a lot of stripped down versions of classics like 'strawberry fields', 'a day in the life', 'come together' and many many more that simply blow the record versions off the map.
