Mentoring Requested!
I am new to growing weed (or anything else for that matter. Iā??m not a hardcore stoner and Iā??m not growing to sell. Occasionally I like to wind down at the end of the day with a hit or two of good bud and my brother in law has a medical MJ card so I am doing it for us. Iā??ve never been good at growing anything except for cactus. A friend from work gave me two plants that he started. They were a month old and from some good seeds. I took them home and potted them in a two gallon pot that I modified to allow the water to flow through freely. My wife had some spikes that you shove into the soil to fertilize the plants in the pot so I tried some. Iā??m not sure if it did they did any good or not so I put the rest of the pack in the soil. This is where the problem started. The smaller of the two plants wilted up and looked like it was going to die and my wife started harping the obvious, that I was killing my plants. The next day after work I went by a local nursery and picked up some organic potting soil with bat guano already in it and a two pound box of bat guano. I took the potting soil and mixed in some Cactus mix potting soil and two tablespoons of fresh guano. I separated the two (unhealthy) plants from the soil that I obviously ruined with too much fertilizing spikes, rinsed out the roots, and replanted them with the new potting mixture. I do not think the smaller of the plants are going to survive but the larger of the two seems to be holding on. I need guidance I have a tendency of over doing things and really donā??t want to lose my last remaining plant. Please someone take a look at my pictures and tell me what I should do I have an inexpensive Moisture/PH/Light meter that I got from Lowes. I am using natural sunlight in my backyard. I have fertilizer for tomato plants, Miracle grow for tomatoes & Bat guano. I would appreciate any input.
Also tell me if this would be good or bad. I modified my pot to allow the water to flow through relatively freely. (I learned this from growing cactus) When the water comes out the bottom of the pot It is very dark. I am wondering if I am flushing out the nutrients in the soil and if it would be a good Idea if I collected that water to feed the plant with. Kind of, recycling my irrigation water so to speak.DrtBikDave Reviewed by DrtBikDave on . Mentoring Requested! I am new to growing weed (or anything else for that matter.
