Your right you really can meet a guy anywhere, such as a book store, but it seems like the only guys that ever hit on me are old creepy guys ... girls you prob kno what I'm talking about ...
it's just been hard, I just moved here, all of my friends are goign to school, and everyone in my little office of 8 is a woman. I think I just have to not look and hopefully someone that I am looking for will approach me. I go to a lot of art shows and concerts but it's normally with a lot of my boys, (non of which i am attracted to in a sexual way) so no one will aproach me, but they will be gone soon, so maybe me being alone will help make me more approachable.
    thanks for your advice all

your right, I only ever met one guy at a bar, and we ended up dating for a month, and he ended up telling me that he was married and only wanted a one night stand, so that kind of turned me off to the idea... but not everyone is as fucked in the head as that guy was

I have heard that about walking dogs ... I would loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee to get one! I just need to move out (less than a month!) and get settled into my place.

My advice is join some sort of club like a cycling or sailing club. You're going to meet cool people of both sexes, make new friends, get invited to parties and events, and even get in shape. My experience doing this is that even if there are not cool eligible bachelors in the club itself, one of the members is gonna have some cool guy friends who you will eventually get introduced to. Plus the dating thing is obvious, you'll be doing whatever fun activity it is, and not have to worry about trying to make small talk.
Meet a guy in a bar, your chances are good that he is a player, spends too much time there, and possibly has a drinking problem.
Meet a guy through a club, you already know that he can commit to something, has a hobby, and enough expendable income and time to pursue it.

Awsome idea! I am not into sports much, but I would really like to sign up for a summer art class. I think that would be a good place to meet people who I know are into art like me, and I feel like it would be easier to talk to people in a relaxing class atmosphere more so than at a coffe shop or something. I just need to put myself out there more. It's not easy being in a new area with out my friends as a security net. (Even though they havent left yet, I have like a month with all of them, and I'm aklways in the city working now) Thanks!

    hahahaha. that was funny:thumbsup:

but misshightimes.....i'd like to know the oppisite...where to find a decent girl....i've been single for like 2 years lol

i've come up with a conclusion..

we shouldn't be looking for them... we should just come across them..
like stinkyattic said, we should join clubs and such.....in my case, go to school...
simply expand our network of friends with interesting people
there ARE plenty of people out there looking, just not in bars or nightclubs...
basically, we should be having fun while we look for interesting people... not making it too obvious that we are --DESPERATE-- lol

    in any case, i'm single

^^ Exactly what I am thinking, after reading what stinky said I signed up for a landscape painting class at a local college here. Starts in 2 weeks, hopefully I will meet some people there. At this second (it will change in another second) I just want to meet some new people in my new area, I dont want to focus everythign on needing a guy, due to what someone else said to me in a diff one of my threads I shouldnt need a man at all times, but at the same time a new one to get my mind off the old one wouldnt hurt.

Sounds like a lot of fun... field trips? And a new hobby to pass the time that can so easily be spent pining for a man, lol!!! That sounds just about perfect.
