1st Log, closet grow

i can see why people top, ur right.

I have never messed with it, i've always grown sog style, with main colas. So this time around i decided to top one, then compare yield to the other.

I have noticed them starting to fill in, but with about 14 days left till they have been flowerin for 8 weeks. I sure hope marli decides to fill in alot more. Conner while with only one main cola, and few under it, prolly has more weight currently than the topped plant.

They have started to grow like sob's now again, they were stunted for a bit while they had the mg problems.

They make take a little longer than 8 weeks since they were sick for awhile....everything slows way down and it takes time for the plants to get back into full swing so don't be surprised if they need to go a little longer.

I think they will come out well if you don't have any further problems. What's your plan for your next grow?

Next grow i have just waiting to start. But weed hound, you should definately, let me know how yours turns out, it looks so pretty.

5 blue berry seeds. I am going to do couple of different things with them.

1 will be lsted to no end.
1 will be srog
1 will be sog, style (one main cola)

the other 2 will be topped and topped.

and a huge grow log :-) hopefully showing the fruits of all different styles of growing. To see what works for me the best.

I don't really expect them to finish on time, Who knows, will have to pull out the magnifying glass. I fed them couple days ago, expecting it to be my last, and then just water with salts. Since i had a little nute burn last time, i should be ok until harvest. if not, then it will be harvest time early.

There's an old thread around.....let me see if I can find it where someone tried some different ways of topping etc but he only did the beginning. It would be great if someone logged that type of grow all the way through with photos and all.....super piece of info for people to have on hand.

What a great job upgrading your grow. Cant wait to see how this turns out. those buds should start getting bigger as you get closer to harvest. Good luck.

Here is an update. day 52 flower. They are doing GREAT! The Fan leaves have started to yellow, On my untopped plant "Conner" . . I harvested all of Conners Lower buds to let the plant focus on the main cola. It has exploded in new growth at the top of the cola.

My other plant "Marli" whom is topped still has mostly green fan leaves, but they have started to yellow in some areas. Her buds are growing sooo fast and are starting to fill out. Some of the Buds on the top have a few red hairs, but not to many trichs. I hope trich production to start to really kick in soon.

I dryed out a few of the smaller buds from conner. In the oven at 140 degrees for hour and a half. Smoked some. And came to update you guys about it, cause the smoke was great!. So tasty, nice aroma, and gets you pretty blasted, with a gravity. Smoked in a bowl as well. I am very pleased. I could chop Conner down now and bit happy, but i know it will only get better in the next week or so. Trichs are 90% clear and 10% cloudy, On conner.

I have not tested marli yet, her looks a little imature, as the trichs are just starting to get produced. they are 100% clear.

That is one BIG-ASS cola on that plant. :thumbsup: Glad the smoke is good and has a nice buzz. You're right too....they'll only get better with time.
