little update.

I picked up 3 more t12 40 watt 4 foot shop lights today.

I have not added them to the room yet.

So now the plants will be surrounded by the t12's 40 watters, with the 150 watt hps in the middle up top, and the 85 watt cfl up there as well. Along with the two 30 watt cfls with reflectors close at lower bud sites.

I will post a picture when i am done setting up the new light setup. I have been thinking about setting up a 24 light camber for some new seedlings. So i will always have something in flower. I will prolly just wait till this are done, chop them and then reveg them so i will have a mother plant, for clones!.

I have learned alot in the past few weeks, and i am going to setup the new area, with the knowledge i have learned. By building a Cab and using reflective sheeting, or just paint it flat white, with proper ventilation.

I am thinking the grow box should be at least 5 feet tall, 3 feet wide, and 3 feet deep. With two fans, both being 4" inline duct fans. Should keep it cool enough. Since i only have one right now and 2 pc fans, i figure i will have enough air flow to keep temps down below 85 degrees. So heres the plan on the lighting.

Since i have 4 4ft t12 asemblies. I plan on putting one on each side. With the 150 watt Hps up top with a new better reflector and remote ballast. Then mount the 85 watt cfl, up there next to the hps.

in a 5x3x3 room, question is is about 41,000 lumens going to be enough for this size cab. Well if not i can always upgrade to a higher wattage hps, or add another one. (i would prolly get grab another hps and scratch the 85 watt cfl.

anyways, sorry for the long read, any inputs? or idea's to help me get the max out of the cab i am going to build. I will post pictures of the plants later.

Oh that white stuff on the leaves is from my follar feeding. BLAH! i guess i should do that when the lights are off :-) I am going to spray with 100% water to wash that stuff off later, when i get home.

well here they are again. everything is good to go so far. I have noticed on my untopped plant the lower leaves are starting to yellow. All new growth is nice and green. They are 30 days into flower, as of today, so about the half way point or so. I also changed the grow setup a bit, and added 3 more 4foot shop lights i had laying around. So now they have light from EVERY angle, except from the bottom of coarse :rasta:






any comments?

Ebsters! You've turned into a light monster!! Good for you.....more the better if you can keep your temps under control. Do you think you are seeing a difference in how your plants are reacting to the new lights? Seems to me they are budding in alot of spots there. Do you notice a difference?

oh i notice a difference

with the new lights the bottom bud sites started to take off. Seems like soon as Conner (untopped plant), got used to the extra light, its speed of which it grows doubled. The top main bud on that plant will grow almost a 1/2 inch a day.

my total light setup as of today is

4- t12 4ft 40 watt per tube, 2 tubes per fixture
1- t8 4ft 32 watt per tube, 2 tubes per fixture
1- 85 watt Cfl, with custom relfector 6500k
1-150 watt HPS with custom reflector
1-30 watt Cfl
1- 13watt cfl

I don't think i will be adding anymore lights any time soon. I may pick up another 150 watt hps, and replace the 85 watt cfl. Then move that into a new area and start some seedlings.

i just i hope i can yield more than 7 grams of dry bud. what you think?

I honestly don't know but keep doing what you are doing.....I think there is a difference as well and they really seem to like it. Good work!!!!:thumbsup:

Well, in that case, i will keep us updated :-)

at 32 days, depending if its indica or mostly sativa. For a indica i should be about the half way point. For a sativa, i am about 1/3 done.

next question though is, that with my light reflectors, they are just some sheet metal. Would it be worth the time to polish the reflectors to a polished surface? or just leave them how they be.
