If you read the Bible, somewhere in it (I've read this but don't remember where) there is a passage that states: "In the end times, the churches will become the mother whores of the earth". I'm thinkin it must be close to the end times. The church where my wife goes is very progressive and strives to put out a positive message without any political agenda. They leave such things as abortion off the table and concentrate on bringing the positive aspects of christianity to the members. But I'm sure this is the exception rather than the rule. Those southern Babtists are something else, hellfire and brimstone and all the negative aspects of the Bible are thrown in your face. They force a political view on their members and should be taxed!
