    LOL Idk why.
That's not even 1/4 of the movie. If I had taken notes on everything, that'd be alot of shit. I think I could do it though.

But when she's blessing the pews, the powerpoint, the electrical system. Idk man... lol

i live in the bible belt and ugh i hate it. we can't even get certain movies in theaters!!! don't ask me for a specific example lol i have no clue, i don't go to the movies much, i'm a lounge-around-the-house type of person.

but yes, southern baptists are something else, i will say that. my dad's parents and sisters are the perfect example. they preach and preach and preach to everyone, and to them, they never do any wrong, they're just trying to show people the way. but...they are extremely hypocritical. they never seem to practice what they preach. and that just gets on my nerves and makes me somewhat angry. my grandmother sends me cards every week (since i'm off at school), and she always fills up the entire card with bible verses and telling me that i should follow god, and that she understands that it can be hard since i'm not going to a private christian school like they tried to pressure my parents into making me go to. i believe in god, but i do not like having other people's beliefs constantly shoved into my face. i'll listen to you explain it to me, but if you try to shove your beliefs in my face and convert me every time i see or talk to you, no thank you. religion should be about personal exploration and discovery. i want to believe what i believe without people trying to convert me every five seconds. sorry, this may seem like a bit of a rant, but my dad's parents and sisters frustrate me greatly...not just because of how they push their religion onto others, but because of many other factors that are personal family matters...so i tend to rant and get angry when i talk about them lol my grandparents talk about my parents, brother, and me like we're some sort of family that embraces satanistic rituals. not to offend anyone here that does, if anyone does, but i'm just saying that my family isn't like that - but that's how my grandparents seem to see us, just because we're not fanatic christians (which is how they are)

    sorry

anyways, many things are taboo here in the bible belt, and it sucks. as soon as i can graduate the wonderful university of mississippi (meh), you can bet i'm getting the fuck out of here.

***sorry if i offended anyone, i know that religion is always a touchy issue anytime, thats just how i feel concerning my grandparents***

Wow BlazedBabe, you sound like you would fit in with people here in British Columbia perfectly. Seriously, you should consider moving to canada, none of that shit going on here and I'm in the most religious town I've ever seen (in Canada). Plus I guarantee we'll be the first province to legalize weed, and our winters aren't all that cold. We'll have a joint on the back porch some time; anywhere really.... nobody cares!

Jesus cam definetly didn't play in the bible belt because A)it only did the indy theaters in NY and LA and B)It would be banned there. Another movie that was banned there was I think Borat and team America.

And Gandalf, I've been wanting to move to Canada for a while. How are the big cities there? How do they compare to nyc? Also Im not sure canada would be a good idea either because of the Amero buissiness.

actually, borat was shown here in the bible belt i would have been severly pissed if they hadn't shown it down here. they only released a small amount of reels of the film (i caught a showing during that time in a town only 45 mins from my school, in mississippi), and a few weeks later they released it in many other theaters, including tons of theaters in the bible belt. and i think i may remember team america being released in the town where my parents live, which is also in mississippi. but either movie may not have been released in other places in the south

i've actually never been to canada...but i really want to go sooooo badly!!! hoping to make a trip there this fall, if not this fall, within the next year. smoking a joint on the back porch sounds delightful!!! i wish i could do it here without having to worry about getting caught. (already been caught once by my parents, get caught again and shit will hit the fan)

just an example of something from one of the southern baptist churches i've been to here in mississippi:

one of my friends went to said church, and he is a college student with several visible tattoos. he was sitting in the front pew with the other college students, and the preacher came up to him before the service and asked him to move to the back row...

    fuck that pisses me off

i saw clips from youtube, that shit is chilling, it makes me sick that they are basically enslaving their kids like that. instead of growing up and learning right and wrong for themselves on their own terms, theyve had pre-set values shoved in their face and been told only one way is the right way. i know its because they want to get the kids when they are young, and what a despicable tactic that is. theyre all out of their minds, man. i swear when i watched those clips all that came to mind was brainwashing, how most of those kids seem to all have the same dead eyes and dead smiles and how they repeat what they say like zombies. most of those kids are going to lead the same boring christian life, and perhaps even force it on their own children. that is, if we dont doom ourselves before they have any. whats so hard to understand about free choice and tolerence!

If that stuff is shoved down ur throat from the day you are born it becomes a part of you. Thats because we are programmed to take whatever we hear from our parent when we are toddler as fact. How else is the baby supposed to know not to crawl into the pit of lava? The parents tell him once and he will never do it, its imprinted. Its a part of us all thanks to darwin. How else could our species survive with learning imprtant survival tings as babies?

So no. Probably very few will become juggalos or goth kids. You dont really see those guys down in the bible belt. Theyre all in the cities.
