Sometimes ringing in the ears can be gotten rid of by simply cocking your head over to one side for a few minutes. The theory is that one of the cilia (little "hairs" inside of your ear that vibrate to let you hear) has gotten a bit of a dead cell or other "trash" on it in just the wrong place and it is being set off by it.
