Okay, here is what is up. 1 plant chronic that is 24" 5 weeks old in 5 gal bucket, 4 Afghani that are 6 inches, 3 weeks old, that I will put in 5 gal buckets tomorrow. I have a 400w hps in a closet. About 4-5 ft max head room. How would you guys tackle this issue?

Do you know the sex of the larger plant? If it's a known girl, take cuttings to get it's size back in line w/ the others, veg until about 12", and flower.
You should be able to top/train the larger plant until the others catch up- then flower before you run out of headroom.
Good luck!I assume you understand that we have options on your time,
And we will ditch you in the harbour if we must-
But if it all works out nicely,
You\'ll get the bonus you deserve
From doctors we trust.

It has not shown sex yet. I wish it did so this problem could perhaps go away. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing more I would want than for it to be a female. But boy it sucks growing a male and jumping thru all these hoops if I am going to just cut it down anyway. Question, does it matter how or where I top it? Can I go back from the top and go down 3 nodes?

I notice yourusing HPS, are you in flower, or using HPS all the way through?
If it's still in veg you can cut it back 3 nodes if you want to, if it's in flower it's not reccomended to chop any off.

The plants are still in veg. I have been using HPS for the complete grow. How early can one start flowering?
