i've only ever broke a bowls worth of bud into 3-5 big peices... burns so quick if you grind it... probably getting as much smoke, but bowls go quicker... besides, just cuz it's burning doesn't mean it creates smoke... to soem extent some does get burned and not produce anything everytime you put the flame to it again...

in buds, atleast logically, the loss would be less then a fully grnided bud....

but it's such a small insignificant ammount it really comes down ot personal prefrence... if you like big milky white hits and aren't gonna just cough it out instantly and waste it, might as well grind...

you can still get big hits from 4-5 peices of bud, but it won't be as thick... but it does last longer..

pack a piece bigger than the hole and a few more on top, then break it up however you want. don't pull like you've been oxygen deprived when the bowl is dying, or you'll get ash in your mouth.

noooooooooooo dont grind it up, break it up a little with your fingers so that theres like 6-7 little pieces of nug per big bowl pack. grinding it up is a waste, it makes huge hits, that unless you have lungs like a character from a fairy tale, you will cough up.

It is all bout the base nug put a bigger piece on the bottom so the smaller bits don't fall through.

Pebbles as in little pieces of small rocks that you can find in your backyard, at a park or pretty much anywhere... clean the rocks and pop 1 into your bowl, put the weed on top and you'll never suck any weed through the hole...

I used to be sooo against grinders untill a few years ago. I thought it was just a lazy way to break up the weed. Then I bought one with a keef catcher, and omg, it's great. I save up the keef for a few weeks and use it on top of bowl packs. Very potent and tasty And you'll have something to smoke if you run out of bud.

YEs Ive been using pebbles for my glass piece for awhile and it works the same as the screen I got with it (I lost it). So yes go get a pebble from outside stick it in the bottom of the bowl and filler up.
