Use an airtight container like Tupperware or glass jars.
Or wrap it up in 2 or 3 baggies, but make sure you check the buds everyday, as you said, it's in a hot car, in a plastic baggy. That can create moisture when in combination with darkness and not much air, it could mold.

you could put the stash in a thermos and put it in the trunk. Either way, the trunk will be kept cooler than the interior of the car because no light rays are entering and being converted into heat. The trunk is surrounded by material that deflects light away. Even better if your car is light colored

Yep, thats the way to go around it, I've alos heard keeping an orange peel, or orange peel like object in the container can help too. Just make sure you change it everyday, or every other so it doesn't start to mold.

if you do put an orange peel in there, leave it in only for a day and then take it out. if you keep repeatedly putting one in there every day, mold will start to grow on your buds. just use the orange peel trick if it gets dried out a little bit, and your bud will fluff up a bit, become a little bit stickier, and smoke somewhat better than if you just left it dry. you can do the orange peel thing a couple of times if you hold onto one sack for awhile, but space out the times that you do it, otherwise there is a high probability of molding the buds
i agree with o'cannabis, mason jars are the way to go  also, burnable is right - keeping it in the trunk is a much better idea than keeping it in any other part of the car. it will be much cooler in there!

you might want to think about putting it in a pill container.
the prescription containers are airtight and keep it from drying out as much
