Assholes give their race a bad name, however I do not condone any racism in any size shape or form. Blame the individuals, not the race.

I don't know how to respond....

First let me say I live in NC, the south, and prejudice here does still exist, of course not the same as the 60's or even 70's, but some people are just racist and always will be.

Studies have been done, here's just one on the matter, that if you have a "black-sounding" name, you are less likely to get call-backs for an interview to a job. You could just say that is a prejudice against names, and if you are white and named Khadijah, you are fucked too, but realistically, how many times is that going to happen?

"Carries and Kristens had call-back rates of more than 13 percent, but Aisha, Keisha and Tamika got 2.2 percent, 3.8 percent and 5.4 percent, respectively. And having a higher quality resume, featuring more skills and experience, made a white-sounding name 30 percent more likely to elicit a callback, but only 9 percent more likely for black-sounding names." (CBS NEWS)

And last, just let me ask you, when you say something negative about someone, how do you say it? Sometimes things you say can be misconstrued, but that is really the case in anything that you say, people are objective and sometimes interpret things differently.
