Well, it all comes down to human ego really, that we're so important that the greatest being in existence is concerned with us.

on a side note, what always bothered me about the afterlife is, who gets to go? I mean I always though if I get to go to heaven, shouldn't my dog too? he was a really nic spirited dog, very kind hearted. but then where is the line drawn if he can get in? do all the ants, and beetles, and bacteria, and jellyfish go to heaven?
