An Ideal Father

Occupied within my mind
An outside Figure looking in
Show me plad blue business suites
And tell me thats what I should believe in
Not the course of your 18 holes
And certainly not a spectator
Never will I stand attention
To this superficial convention

and the dice should be thrown when it comes time
because Id rather not stand in line

So just cherish your wealth
No way you can lose
Keep showing the latest fashion
In the importance of the news
But I wont look up to you
If thats what you choose
An ideal father, a song of blues

Youve painted a circus for millions
A true abuse of art
With your eyes open to an illusion
That you've taken too far
So the next time you blink
Take the time to just think
And you will learn that more is visible
With your eyes closed

Or just cherish your wealth
No way you can lose
Keep showing the latest fashion
