i would get rid of any software you put on and see if you can use it as a basic removable drive......the phones screen should go orange and say "USB do not remove" or somthing.....and it should show up as a new drive in "my computer" along side yor c drive etc.

USB 1/2.0 should make no difference.....if using usb 1 you might get a windows message saying "this device can perform faster" thats all.

make sure you plug the lead into the pc, then plug the phone in (with the flip closed)

hope that helps
Good point,,,I did not know whether windows would pick it up as a drive...

try any other USB outlets if you have any...
Skink Reviewed by Skink on . LG chocolate help. Okay guys I'm really at the end of my patience with this phone, if anyone could help me out. I have a LG white chocolate and it comes with a usb cable so you can connect it to the computer, but mine isnt working.. it says it can't read the phone. I've already downloaded the music backup software so i could possibly transfer files onto it. is there something i'm doing wrong? And can we explain to me what the Bluetooth feature does for the phone? sincerely, CONFUSED. Rating: 5
