So i'm new here.
Long time smoker and advocate of anyone who has to become a criminal in order to self medicate.
I've M.S and use green to stop muscle spasams. As some of you know, it's no myth. The stuff works.
I'd like to hear from anyone in the same boat. it's only a matter of time before i get caught and a well constructed defence is always handy.

Any suggestions ?.......

Hopefully by the time you get caught your state would have put a Medical Marijuana Law into effect. It seems every month now a new state has declared its support for it.

Anyway, the best defense is your MS. You have proof of your MS, and you don't use any medication except for cannabis, right? So then... I don't know what other kind of defense you could use.

It's possible you could be jailed even if you put up a good defense, that's how ignorant and selfish our law system is. But as long as you're smart about it, you won't get caught . I was almost busted once, but that was because I was being stupid. I smoke cannabis on my front porch (late at night), and I have never been caught. But considering you have M.S., I'm sure you have to whip out a joint at a moment's notice, right? Just smoke where nobody can see you, and you'll be good. There's no guarantee that you'll be caught. And of course, there's also no guarantee that you won't be caught. Just be smart about it.

You could use other states turning to MMJ laws as part of a defense, too. If it didn't work, nobody would use it medicinally. If they say you're just doing it so that you can smoke pot and get stoned, then you simply ask them why you would use it for M.S. if it didn't work, especially because you don't use any other medications for M.S. (i'm assuming so).

There's plenty of evidence out there to support your defense. A google search is advised in this respect.

The last thing you want to do is get paranoid about being busted. If you're sneaky about it, and you stay inside while you do it, there's a much better chance you will not be caught.

I would also advise that you hire a good attorney in case it does happen.

thanks for the advice. Although here in Ireland it's just never gonna be legal.
There's more than one reason why and i don't pretend to know them all.

I was thinking i'd apply for refugee status in a country where they have medicinal maria. I live in fear of being persecuted/imprisoned by the law for simply trying to feel better.

Go to a place where it's legal.
See a doctor there and get a recommendation for medical anyway.
It really helped me when I was busted, even though I was in a state without medical.
It really helps to have the paperwork BEFORE you get busted. No matter where you are.
