Opinion - I promised my (racist) dad at age 15 that I would NEVER marry a white guy. (Technically, my family's white, by skin color, but for heritage, we have Creek Indian & Spanish & European & who knows what else)
View-I don't care as long as they love me & I love them & we make beautiful children.

I think the last thread like this went over-board and got semi-racist, but I am a mutt. My mom is peruvian, my dad is born and raised in SoCal....so I see them working.

^It doesn't have to get racist. I could have "barked" at Markass's comment about hispanics but it seems like something stereo-typical so I accepted that it might be true. People who start bitching at everything are weak minded.

Besides, I know his comment is not COMPLETELY true, I know plenty of females(all races) that prefer hispanics. They tell me that hispanics are the only ones that know how to treat women right. What an ignorant thing to say, huh.

I've never really been in love but from what I hear, it has no race.

It's just that, if anyone is from a STRONG and DEEP, to the root-type culture(background) than you definatly see race and it's pro's and con's. It's true.

I'm sure I wouldn't deny myself the happiness of being with someone just because of race but when it comes to my kids, home and family values? If it aint broke, don't fix it. lol

Well I dont have any experience with interacial relationships but I certainly wouldnt have a problume with one. I find lots of women of many different colors attractive. My dads side of the family are all rednecks and pretty racist, and All tho I am a redneck too I dont like to be racist. I could see some heat coming from my iggnorant family If I were to date outside my heritage.

I don't have anything against interracial marriages or relationships, but I do not believe that children should be brought into the world that are a mixture of two races such as black/white, Chinese/white, etc. I have nothing whatsoever against people of diverse backgrounds, but they are frequently discriminated against from all sides which can make their lives very difficult. Hell, the world is so screwed up I didn't want to have kids at all, and I don't have one single regret about making that decision.

Something I have experience with.............well, I am "white" (I have a hard time with the term, because who really knows ALL what is in their heritage after slavery, with slaves being raped and such) and I know that we also have Cherokee Indian and Portuguese in my family.

I know exactly what my racial heritage is after slavery: 100% Indo-European. I had a DNA test. It gives you the percentages of East Asian, Indo-European, Native American, and African from your genetic sample. If you're curious, get tested.

I always thought race was different than color.
In colombia; they have blacks, whites, and natives. And of course a mix of three.... infact, most people are a mix of the three. I know I am.

I'm talkin more.....backgroud/culture

for example....two black people get married but one is jamaican and the other is haitian.

or a philipino getting married with a korean.

Me too. And it's a shame a lot of children are being born under ridiculous circumstances. Anything that helps "certain" people avoid birth is great to me.
