Newbies welcome

Is there a way in which it is possible to welcome all the newbies at once perhaps by clicking a link that would insert a pre defined welcome text of our own choosing this could be set to include everyone who has just joined in say the last 24/48 hrs or whatever,
I am not lazy and would love to welcome everyone but my PC is quite slow and I would be here for quite a while saying welcome.
I do realize such a system could create rather long threads but it might mean we get to welcome everyone.
Just a thought.
